Job Summary

The warehouse staff member is responsible for the safe loading and off loading of equipment at the Austin Chair and Table Rental headquarters as well as on job sites and plays a key role in the delivery, setup, and pickup of event rental equipment. Working closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers, this position ensures timely and accurate deliveries and handoff of equipment by paying close attention to detail as they load and offload trucks with accuracy. Additionally, warehouse staff ensure that equipment is kept to standards of excellence by providing regular maintenance and cleaning of rental equipment. Warehouse staff serve as representatives of Austin Chair and Table Rental and are expected to maintain a professional appearance, uphold company standards, and contribute to the successful execution of events.

Responsibilities

Loading, Unloading and Setup

  • Prepare equipment for delivery and assist with loading and unloading rental inventory.

  • Assemble and install event equipment as required.

  • Place returned rental items in designated warehouse locations for inspection and processing.

  • Deliver and retrieve rental equipment from event locations.

Customer Service and Communication

  • Maintain effective communication with the warehouse team, customers, and venue contacts throughout deliveries and pickups.

  • Provide courteous, professional, and responsive customer service at all times.

  • Assist customers with rental-related questions and concerns as needed.

Equipment Maintenance

  • Ensures equipment is clean before and after delivery.

  • Provides maintenance to company equipment by cleaning, painting, sanding, tightening, branding, etc. with company tools at ACTR headquarters.

Inventory Control and Documentation

  • Verify all items during customer pickups and returns.

  • Report damaged, missing, or incorrect inventory to customers and management.

  • Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records, obtain customer signatures when required, and communicate any delivery challenges to supervisors.

Professional Conduct

  • Maintain a professional appearance, including wearing assigned uniforms and appropriate work attire.

  • Demonstrate professionalism on all job sites by maintaining respectful behavior and appropriate language.

  • Refrain from smoking or vaping while representing the company or working at customer locations.

  • Refrains from excessive cell-phone use on job sites and ACTR headquarters.

  • Refrains from sleeping while en route to next location.

Team Support

  • Assists drivers en route by importing event location to GPS.

  • Reaches out to location contact while en route to ensure swift delivery or pickup.

  • Assists in other operational areas as needed to support business requirements.

  • Attend operational and safety meetings.

  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

  • Maintain flexibility to work evenings, weekends, extended hours, and Late-Night Pickups as business needs require. (Late-Night pickups are paid at a bonus rate depending on need and event.)
